Trip to Turkey

I haven`t heard a lot about this place but I wanted to explore something new. A place where I have never been before. So I decided to go to Turkey.

Except for two days there was everyday wind. Good constant wind for my 11m and 9m.

We stayed at the "Always windy" station welcomed us with open arms and helped out with every little problem we had. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

The place was so warm and welcoming with its little restaurants, shops and markets.

Fruits and vegetables where on our menu from the morning till the evening. Fresh, healthy and cheap

On the no wind day we made a trip to the waterfalls "Shallale" and to an empty turkis beach to chill out and enjoy some quiet time.

Can`t wait to go there again!!

2nd at the Czech Open!!

My sponsor Ozone invited me this year to join the Czech Open in Mushow. The Czech Open is an international event hold in a little town at a lake called Mushow.

We have been really lucky with the wind and we could start the single elimination straight away.

I had good heats and made my way up to the 2nd place!!

After that I desided to do the race with my twintip upwind wonder from Xenon and became first! In the evening we took it easy and cruised on our longboards.

At the next morning I felt really dizy and had circulation problems that I desided to not do the race and focus on the doubles. The wind picked up very strong and I went with my 7m fully overpowered...My decision payed of and I secured my 2nd place in Freestyle!! Stoked!!

Just 2 days later the next competition started... KTE Austria. It was the second that the Kite Tour Europe had a stop in Podersdorf and never so many girls have participated an KTE event like this. 20 girls signed in for freestyle!!

To be honest I barrely kited in Austria in the past years, so Podersdorf is not my real homespot, but I was looking forward to the event.

The single elmination did not go to well for me. My first heat got cancelled due the lack of wind. So I had to wait for the next day. Next day, same problem. I went out with my 12m but the wind was not enough so we waited in the water for the wind to pick up, A bit later we started the heat. In no time the wind picked up so strong that I was overpowerd on my 12m and did not advance.

But for the we have the double elimination! Next day the wind came from the wrong direction and we had to go out long time before our heat to not miss our heats.

This time I managed to climb up to 9th place!!
